ABOUT THE COUNCIL
Established in 2013, the Greater Good Council (GGC) is an initiative of The Moonridge Foundation that convenes private philanthropic leaders and family foundations quarterly in Northern and Southern Nevada. The GGC focuses on transforming our State through strategic philanthropic giving, community engagement, and collective impact. With diverse representation from varied philanthropic experience, demographic, and giving capacity, the GGC develops members through dynamic programming in alignment with the Council’s stated values.
VALUES
KNOWLEDGE | STRATEGY | MEASUREMENT | IMPACT | LEGACY
Philanthropists can hone their giving programs by leveraging the shared experiences of their peers, accessing the knowledge and insights of best-practice leaders, developing levers to effectively measure the impact of their programs, and reviewing statewide data and statistics to accurately assess the needs of their communities.
COLLECTIVE IMPACT GRANT
The GGC embodies the power of collective impact through an annual grant, pooling member funds via The Moonridge Foundation. Along with an extensive screening process, these funds are utilized to develop growing organizations and achieve the highest impact possible. To date, the council has granted over $1.4M to local grantees.
